SURV 1500 – Elementary Surveying Calculations (On-Line: May 19 – July 25)

This course will be web-based with assignments given by the computer and internet.  A mandatory Final Exam will be given on Saturday, July 25, in Cochran.  This will be the only time that a student will be required to come to class.  All other communication, assignments, and tests will be given through the computer and mail.

SURV 1521 – AutoCAD for Surveyors (On-Line: May 19 – July 25)

This course will be web-based with assignments given by the computer and internet.  A mandatory Final Exam will be given on Saturday, July 25, in Cochran.  This will be the only time that a student will be required to come to class.  All other communication, assignments, and tests will be given through the computer and mail.

Software: You will need access to “AutoCAD 2009”.  You may purchase a 180-day learning license with your textbook. Note: Only college bookstores are allowed to sell the software with the textbook.

Textbooks: You will need two textbooks: “Civil Drafting Technology” and AutoCAD 2009 Tutorial”.  You may order the AutoCAD book with or without the software.  The books are:

SURV 2501 – Plane Surveying (On-Line: May 19 – July 25)

This course has 2 prerequisites: SURV 1500 or a college-level trigonometry course,

and SURV 1521.

This course will be web-based with assignments given by the computer and internet.  A mandatory Final Exam will be given on Saturday, July 25, in Cochran.  This will be the only time that a student will be required to come to class.  All other communication, assignments, and tests will be given through the computer and mail.
